Cohomology vanishing theorems for free boundary submanifolds

In this paper, via a new Hardy type inequality, we establish some cohomology vanishing theorems for free boundary compact submanifolds $$M^n$$ with $$n\ge 2$$ immersed in the Euclidean unit ball $$\mathbb {B}^{n+k}$$ under one of pinching conditions $$|\Phi |^2\le C$$ , $$|A|^2\le {\widetilde{C}}$$ or |\le R(p,|H|)$$ where A $$(\Phi )$$ is (traceless) second fundamental form, H mean curvature, $$C,{\widetilde{C}}$$ are positive constants and R(p, |H|) function. particular, remove condition on flatness normal bundle, solving first question, partially answer question optimal proposed by Cavalcante, Mendes Vitório.

Vanishing theorems for associative submanifolds

Let M7 a manifold with holonomy in G2, and Y 3 an associative submanifold with boundary in a coassociative submanifold. In [5], the authors proved that MX,Y , the moduli space of its associative deformations with boundary in the fixed X, has finite virtual dimension. Vanishing Theorems for Coherent Automorphic Cohomology

We consider the coherent cohomology of toroidal compactifications of locally symmetric varieties (such as Shimura varieties) with coefficients in the canonical and subcanonical extensions of automorphic vector bundles, and give explicit conditions for them to vanish in certain degrees.
